Self-taught sculptor Edward Waites, born in 1988, is from Suffolk, UK. Waites has created a portfolio of works depicting a wide variety of animal subjects, including some primates. His works are produced using the ancient lost-wax method, and caste in bronze and silver. Sculptures range from small-scale to life-size. His “Silverback Gorilla” is a prime example of the power and energy that characterises his sculpture. Waites has exhibited world-wide, with works in private, public and corporate collections.
